AIAA welcomes student participants to the Region I Student Conference. Students must join AIAA to be eligible to compete in the conference. To join AIAA, please go to www.aiaa.org and click on "Become a Student Member". Student membership is only $25 USD.

AIAA Author Kit

Your paper should be prepared according to AIAA Manuscript Preparation Kit. Please note that the paper can be no longer than 11 pages single column because this is a student competition. Masters Competition papers may have up to two student authors and list one faculty advisor as co-author.

Registration Fee:  $55 (due after registration; you will receive an email regarding the date the fee is due)

Note:  The registration fee covers lodging for Friday night and Saturday night and all food/beverages/activities on Friday and Saturday at the conference.

Description:  

The AIAA Student Paper Conference is a competition in which national AIAA student members at participating colleges and universities present technical papers on aerospace related topics for a chance to win prizes of up to $500.  You will have the opportunity to meet and interact with professionals in the industry as well as faculty and students from the region who share your passion for aerospace. 

 

Papers:

Are you currently participating in research, an individual/team design project, or with outreach related to aerospace? Submit a paper to present at the conference and earn the opportunity to win up to $500 in awards, national recognition for your work, and honorary attendance to AIAA's SciTech 2016 conference in San Diego, CA!

The current paper categories are:

  • Undergraduate Technical Paper ($500/$300/$250 awards)
  • Undergraduate Team Technical Paper ($500/$300/$250 awards)
  • Graduate Technical Paper ($500/$300/$250 awards)
  • Community Outreach ($200/$100/$75 awards)

 

Registration: Regular registration is open and is $55 per attendee. Registration deadline is February 23.
